A new project for the installation of automatic on/off streetlights has been established in Jayashankar Bhupalpally District, Telangana, as of December 2024. This initiative aims to enhance the region's infrastructure with advanced, energy-efficient public lighting. Utilizing a cost-effective controller-unit model with a cost of Rs. 3,800 per unit, the system is designed to automatically manage the streetlights, leading to a substantial electricity-bill reduction potential of up to 50%. For long-term reliability, the project includes a 1-year service warranty on all installations.
